How the price is built
Per mile
Loaded miles, practical route, from the PC*MILER mileage on the rate confirmation. Empty miles are not billed except on round trips and multi-stop runs, where the quote shows them.
Minimums
$525 dry van, $575 flatbed, $625 reefer, $450 hotshot, $395 drayage move. The minimum covers local moves inside the Houston metro.
Fuel surcharge
Added per mile from the table below, set every Tuesday from the U.S. Energy Information Administration's Gulf Coast diesel index. Lane and per-mile rates are linehaul; the surcharge is the only number on the invoice that moves.
Free time
Two hours at each pickup and delivery. Detention starts after, at the published rate, and the dispatcher tells you 30 minutes before the clock starts.
Payment
Net 30 on approved credit, by ACH or check. New shippers pay by card or ACH before pickup until credit is approved, usually inside a week. Card payments carry a 3% fee.
Quotes
A rate confirmation is the price. It lists linehaul, fuel surcharge and the accessorials known at booking; anything added on the road is on the price list and documented on the POD.

Port Houston drayage
Barbours Cut, Bayport, BNSF Pearland and UP Englewood. A move is a round trip with two hours of live unload; drop-and-hook adds chassis days. Demurrage and per diem charged by the terminal or the steamship line are passed through at cost when they could not be avoided, and the weekly invoice shows what a pre-pull saved.

Pricing questions
Is the lane rate the whole price?
The lane rate is linehaul. The invoice adds the fuel surcharge from the table and any accessorials on the price list that actually happened, documented on the POD. The rate confirmation shows the expected total before the truck is dispatched.
How do contract lanes work?
You commit to a weekly volume on a lane, we commit primary and backup capacity and lock the linehaul for six or twelve months. Contract lane rates run about five percent below spot on the same lane; the fuel surcharge still floats. Volume shortfalls are trued up quarterly, not weekly.
Do you bill empty miles?
Not on one-way loads. Round trips and multi-stop runs are quoted on the whole route, loaded and empty, with stop-offs at the published rate, and the quote shows it.
What are your payment terms?
Net 30 on approved credit, ACH or check. Until credit is approved, card or ACH before pickup. Card payments carry a 3% fee. Balances past 30 days accrue 1.5% a month.
Can we get a rate without calling?
Yes. The estimator on this page uses the published rates and the current fuel surcharge; the contact form takes the lane, equipment and dates and the rate confirmation comes back by email within 30 minutes in business hours.
