Privacy Policy
Effective 2020-07-14 · Last updated 2026-02-17
This policy explains how JLR Logistics LLC (“RealHauler”, “we”) handles personal information on realhauler.com, in the shipper and carrier portal, and in the course of quoting, moving, tracking and invoicing freight. Where we move freight under a contract with a shipper or a carrier agreement, that agreement and the compliance page govern how shipment data is handled; this policy covers personal information about website visitors, prospects, shipper and consignee contacts, carriers and drivers.
1. What we collect on this website
Rate requests and contact forms: name, company, work email, phone, origin and destination, equipment, dates, commodity and anything you write. Standard server logs: IP address, browser, pages visited and referrer, kept for 90 days. We do not run advertising trackers and we use no cross-site cookies.
2. What we collect to move freight
To set up a shipper account: the legal name and address, the contacts on the account, billing details and the credit application, including trade and bank references. To set up a carrier: the carrier's legal name, MC and USDOT numbers, insurance certificates, W-9, the owner's and dispatcher's contact details, driver names and phone numbers for loads in progress, and payment details for settlements. On every load: pickup and delivery addresses and contacts, commodity, weight, value, the bill of lading and delivery receipt, and truck position from the carrier's ELD or a tracking app from dispatch to delivery. In the dedicated fleet: driver qualification files, hours of service, drug and alcohol testing records and dash-camera footage, as federal regulations require.
3. How we use it
To quote, book, dispatch, track, deliver and invoice freight; to vet and pay carriers; to handle claims; to meet FMCSA, Texas and tax obligations; to answer requests; to improve our lanes and service in aggregated form; and to send service advisories. We do not sell personal information, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not share one shipper's rates or volumes with another.
4. Sharing
With the carrier assigned to your load, who receives the pickup and delivery details and contacts needed to move it. With the shipper and consignee on a carrier's load, who receive the driver's name and the truck position. With the vendors on the compliance page that run the systems we dispatch, track and invoice with. With insurers, surveyors and counsel when a claim is filed. With terminals, ports, rail ramps and customs brokers as the load requires. With authorities when the law requires it, after reviewing the request and notifying the customer unless prohibited. In a merger or sale, under the same commitments.
5. Payments
Shippers pay by ACH, check or card; carriers are paid by ACH. Card details are entered on our payment processor's forms and stored by them; we keep a token and the last four digits. Bank details for ACH are stored encrypted and used only for the payments you authorize.
6. Retention
Load records, bills of lading, PODs, rate confirmations and invoices are kept for seven years to support claims, audits and tax. Tracking positions are kept for 12 months. Carrier qualification records are kept for the term of the agreement and three years after. Driver qualification, hours-of-service and testing records are kept for the periods federal regulations require. Rate requests that do not become loads are deleted after two years. Dash-camera footage is kept for 30 days unless an incident is flagged.
7. Security
Encryption in transit and at rest, multi-factor authentication for everyone who works for us and for partner-facility users, portal access per person and logged, and tracking links that are read-only and expire 30 days after delivery. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects you we will notify you as Texas law and our agreement require.
8. Your choices and rights
You can ask us what we hold about you, correct it, or ask us to delete what we are not required to keep, by emailing logistics@realhauler.com. You can opt out of marketing email with the link in any message; service advisories, tracking and billing notices continue while you are a shipper or carrier contact. Texas residents have the rights the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act provides, and residents of other states with consumer privacy laws have the rights those laws provide; we honor them without discrimination. Drivers employed by a partner carrier should direct requests to that carrier; we assist the carrier in responding.
9. Cookies
The website uses a session cookie for forms. The portal uses cookies needed to keep you signed in and to detect session hijacking. We do not use advertising cookies.
10. Changes
We will post changes here with a new “last updated” date and notify shipper and carrier contacts by email of material changes at least 30 days before they take effect.
